Lace.

I found this image on Fashion Squad blog and i actually love it. I love the mix of lace with sequins and the heavy lipstick and the intimate composition. The model looks incredible.
Today has been a rubbish day so far. We have a new Nokia brief and its basically rubbish, so george and i practically begged people to give us our their numbers! Plus it looks like its about to rain egh!

Home Sweet Home

I have finally got back to reality and am sitting in my uni room in the absolutely freezing Nottingham. I couldn't want to be back in the Dominican Republic more right now.

Holiday was amazing. Coming home to depressing weather and a whole load of Easter work was not so amazing!

Catching up on new editorials i have missed whilst I've been away has been fun fun fun and left me feeling so incredibly inspired.

Sometimes i wake up and i wish i did photography. The more editorials i see, and the more beautiful images i see, the more i want to get out there and take photos again then spend hours editing them.

i actually can't wait to start planning shoots for the summer holidays, maybe it might make me feel a little warmer after doing Nokia in the freeezing for 3 hours!

I feel like i've been letting my blog down lately. I've been so busy and i don't even know what i've been doing! I have a presentation on my Paris findings in half an hour and iv got permanent maker all over me from last night...but wish me luck! ha. My parents are coming tomorrow, SO excited.
I'm going to do a million hours of Nokia later in the freezing but hopefully tonight i'll give my blog some time and show you some of my amazing finds :)

Nokia x6 Anyone?

So this is the new Nokia brief i got incredibly excited about the other day: We get given a load of x6s and have to create a video to promote our area, we have to market the new amazing phone and the AMAAAAAZING competiton (see below), create an event- the best 3 will win £2000 to put the event on and more. wow!

To celebrate the launch of the Nokia X6 16GB, we're looking for one lucky person to become the official Nokia X6 All Areas roving entertainment reporter.

This could be your chance to show your entertainment credentials and be judged by a celebrity panel.

All you have to do to enter is record a 60-second clip of yourself explaining why you should win the job.

Then upload your clip to YouTube through your own YouTube channel and submit the URL to your video using the form below along with your details.

Tag your video as 'Nokia X6' when you upload it.

Our celebrity judges will select the six best applicants who will then be given a series of six trial reporting assignments, starting with the official X6 launch party in London on 3rd March 2010.

From there each of the six finalists will travel the globe covering amazing events and reporting back using the Nokia X6 as their tool of the trade. All of the reports will be posted online – the most engaging reporting hack gets the gig.

I Heart Nokia.

Today, in between stressing over L'Oreal we had a meeting with our Nokia manager. I love my job! sad yes. We literally get to do any ideas we have that we feel would best promote the brand to the target consumer...uni students, as long as it's in keeping with the brand values i guess. Our new prize for the competition is this really good bike (apparently! I'm not really down with bikes myself.) Each prize we promote has something to do with Nokia Services so this one is related to the Sports Tracker Service. We came up with some really good and exciting ideas for future events and competitions, mainly to do with the Nokia Music Store. I love it how it relates so perfectly with my course at uni, and kind of gives a new and real life perspective to the marketing stuff I'm learning about!
I just thought i'd keep you updated with my Nokia happenings :)

NOKIA!

In the summer i amazingly managed to get a job as a Nokia connector. Basically as a Nokia Connector we have to go aorund uni/town entering people in a competiton and telling them about nokia services etc. Its a relitivly new thing with the aim of promoting Nokia to make young people love it again! but more importantly we get a gazzilion perks with the job, like free phones, kit, parties, Ray Mears,Diversity, Rihanna, Jay Z, The Human League, festivals and ti-pis! Anyways...we have literally just got back from the Nokia Christmas Party...and wow what a night!
For me doing marketing at Uni, it could not be more perfect! We get all this marketing talk thrown at us thats really useful and actually really interesting! Before i worked for Nokia..i definitely thought it was not very cool anymore.. (remember the days of Snake..!) but now, especially with this programme, i love what they're doing from their campaigns to things like the stuff with MTV their doing. Its such a good brand to work for! Last night i met so many important Nokia guys it was crazy! I love Nokia for life..! haha how sad am i!
