Self Service

Model: Anja Rubik

Self Service A/W 09. Beautiful images. I especially love the image with the Coke can. For some reason i kind of love the idea of using the branding withing the fashion photograph. It makes it real, commercialised, current and adds an edge. i love.

Photographer:Craig McDean
Check out these massivly striking images of Kate Moss. I love the black and white; the overlay; those trousers; the little red riding hood cape/robin hood?!; the material; the crown; the power of the images, and of course..Kate.
We all know Kate has been the face of Lonchamp for quite a while now. However, she has just launched her own line of Handbags for Longchamp! The collection is separated into three themes, Rock 'n' Casual, Rock 'n' Travel and Rock 'n' Glam. Very excited to see what she has produced!

We've just been given our new Nokia brief for next week. I don't think i can give too much away, but ohh.my.god. So excited. Thank god we have a week off at uni next week...i feel its going to be a very, Veryyy busy one planning and organising! Very Excited! I'll keep you posted. x

WangWangWang

Photographed by Dan Jackson.
Model: Hannah Holman.

LOOK what i have just found. Alexander Wang is launching his 1st advertising campaign on Monday. The advertisement will be plastered all over downtown Manhattan and will not be featured in magazines.
“The [images] were originally only supposed to be posters we were going to send to editors and stores,” said Wang. “But I felt the energy was much more appropriate for something like guerrilla marketing than anything too proper or formal. Because T is really the core foundation of what Alexander Wang stands for, I thought it should be something that could be much more democratic.”

Nude

Take a look at these images from the Zara s/s 2010 look book. As I've mentioned already Nude is literally everywhere. Zara have done it really well. I wish i could get away with the Chloe inspired shorts in the bottom image...plus, that boyfriend blazer..yum.

Chanel go GaGa

Chanel Haute Couture. Spring/Summer 2010
It seems Chanel have not only been taking inspiration from ancient Greece and the Baroque era this season, Lady GaGa influences are shining through. From the hair anyways! Who doesn't l.o.v.e Chanel? Chanel is the elite, the stuff dreams are made of! But wow their Haute Couture is equally as amazing. Muted Hues and neutural tones are literally everywhere this season. I know what i'll be spending my Christmas Topshop voucher on...

Oooooh La La-ing again...

So the FMB girls are hitting Paris in less than 2 weeks. Excited? Yes! I wasn't going to go as i've practically just got back from Paris, but we are doing some pretty amazing things so i had to! We're going to the renowned industry fair Premier Vision which i'm really looking forward to and have been set a million things to do to keep us busy.

Above: Some Jak&Jil photos from Paris Fashion Week.

J'Adore Natasha Poly and J'Adore those Chanel Shoes.

That photo's so embarrassing i don't know what i was thinking?! Anyways these are a few of my favourite things. The watch was given to me from my Nanna. I absolutely love it. It so old, but beautiful and makes any outfit so much better. And my Auntie gave me this ring she had from when she was younger, i went through a stage of lovinggg orange and this is pretty much all I'd wear now. She also gave me a massive bag of more jewellery from when she was like 20, it was all pretty amazing.

McQueen Madness....

Photographer: Nick Knight
Model: Raquel Zimmermann
You can always rely on McQueen to create a shocker. I remember ages ago when i first caught a glimpse at those shoes..oh.my.god. I just felt sorry for the models having to somehow walk in them!
This image is insane, and totally fits with the brand. i would definitly not fancy Raquel Zimmermann's job!

Check out this Viktor&Rolf beauty i just found...

The Amsterdam Chainsaw Massacre....

Photography: Josh Olins
Dress': Viktor & Rolf
Model: Magdalena Frackowiak
I literally could not believe it when i came across these draw-dropping images from this months Dazed&Confused.
wow.wow.wow.
I love how its a stand against the credit crunch, it's nice to see someone taking a risk and going all out. These dresses are so refreshing and well amazing.
The colours are beautiful, and the background really compliments the dresses. My favourite image is second from the top; So much energy. It's like ball gown gone wrong but really so right.
get me one?

PradaPradaPrada

I'm not going to lie, this made me prettttty damn excited when I saw these images. I already had a lot of love for this seasons Prada collection as i've mentioned before, and this has made me love it more. I love love love the effects on the images, makes it quirky and really fits with the beautiful amazing beaded dresses and tops. I like how it makes it more down-to-earth (if Prada could ever be down to earth, i don't know?!) in a sense that its playful and raw, and not sleek like we usually see in high fashion.
anyways enjoy...

Ohh Steven!

Alberta Ferretti S/S 2010. Reminds me on the Lacoste adverts with a hint of Burberry. I Like the colour pallets!

Balenciaga S/S 2010. You can always rely on the amazing Balenciaga to pull something crazy out the bag!

Balenciaga a/w 09. Those tights! I had a crush on those for ages!

Roberto Cavalli a/w 09.
Dior s/s 2010. I've never really been a massive fan of Dior..its always the advert i skip past to get to the next advert, where I'll spend agess staring at it and analysing it. crazy? yes! This one in particular reminds me of old school Hollywood glamour...
Dior need to start taking more risks!
Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2010. I love the earthyness of these images, that really reflects Spring/summer. I'm warming to Lara Stone as well! I will always Love Louis Vuitton...yum.

Louis Vuitton autumn/winter 2009. Madonna! At first i was like whaaat but i came to like the collaboration. It kind of gives the brand a comical and more friendly appeal in some bizarre way. Plus the solarization effect they've used just adds to that!

Prada A/W 2009. Probably one of my favourites last season. The colours work. The Models work. The clothing works. In fact the whole concept is just amazing.
Just a few...in fact loads of Steven Miesels recent work. Taking over the world of fashion? yup.
